Healesville Sanctuary Excursion Y4-6

Our Year 4-6 students ventured to Healesville Sanctuary as part of their inquiry learning unit. Each class took part in an educational learning experience organised by the Sanctuary staff, with students having the opportunity to explore, engage and expand their knowledge on native flora and fauna.

Each group roamed the Sanctuary spaces learning about the different species within and took joy in some of the more hands-on areas. The Spirits of the Sky exhibit was a particular highlight as students watched parrots, owls, buzzards and cockatoos take flight and learnt about their individual characteristics.
A fun filled day for all! Thank you to the parents that volunteered their time on the day and to all of our wonderful staff for making this event possible. A highlight for all students!
