The Parents Committee is a sub-committee of the School Council. At Carrington PS we strive to build a strong relationship between home and school to maximise learning opportunities. The involvement of parents leads to a greater understanding of the school organization and programs, as well as building closer relationships with teachers, other parents and your child’s classmates.

Depending on time commitments, skills and interests, there are many ways parents can contribute at school; such as being on School Council, being a Classroom Helper or being on the Parents’ Association.

Parents Association Aims:

  • Promote a sense of school community through social activities;
  • Fund raising to support school programs;
  • Provide a forum for communication amongst members of the school community;
  • Liaise with the school council and identify areas in need of funding not provided for within the budgetary limits of the school;
  • Set strategies and priorities to achieve fundraising objectives; and
  • Support our teaching staff in the pursuit of improved educational resources, facilities and school environment
