At Carrington we have a French language learning program. French has been taught at the school for over a decade, and many of our students continue their French studies at our local Secondary College, Scoresby SC.

Our program has a large oral and aural focus, with students learning poems, songs and plays in French. Every year we perform in the French Poetry Competition, and have won prizes a couple of years in a row.

The students perform items at the Secondary College on Bastille Day, France's national day. We have multi-cultural whole school days and special French activities that engage and focus children on the cultural aspects as well as the lingual.

It is an energetic program with high levels of enthusiasm and participation!
