Carrington Primary School offers: • a caring, safe environment, committed to the optimum welfare and achievement of its students • a Student Welfare Policy with emphasis on Restorative Practices • a school of around 250 students - small enough to ensure that individual students’ needs are addressed and provided for - and big enough to ensure provision of a full range of curricula a culture which encourages and rewards excellence and effort in all programs and activities • firm adherence to, and encouragement of, school uniform • school and student support personnel from beyond the school - student guidance officer, social worker, speech pathologist • many opportunities for student involvement in decision-making, particularly through a well administered Junior School Council • a Before and After School Care program • a buddy system encompassing Years 5/6 with Years Prep, 1 and 2
